New Website for Dr Arindam Das

I was recently contacted by Dr Arindam Das, who is a Consultant Paediatrician in Essex who required a website to create his ‘home’ on the Internet. This would allow new, and existing patients to find out more about him, his background, qualifications and specialities as well as book consultations. The site didn’t need to be particularly large, so the Sole Trader Plus Website Package was the perfect choice for Dr Das.

Dr Das put together some copy for the site, and provided some images, and I was quickly able to turn it into a clean, simple site that matched the brief. There was a requirement for reviews and testimonials to be pulled from his ‘Doctify’ profile, which is one of the main sites a lot of consultants are registered with. Integration like this keeps the site fresh, as well as that, Dr Das wanted a ‘Blog’ facility so he could post updates too. Regular blog posts are an excellent way to help with SEO.

Because Dr Das has two main locations he sees patients from, there needed a facility for them to be able to book to see him. One location has online booking, and the other doesn’t, so this meant I had to unify the design to ensure despite the differences, the options looked the same. I used blues and slight teal tones throughout as UK people quite often subconsciously these colours as ‘healthcare’ colours (probably because of the bold blue on the NHS logo!)

Development of the site was very quick, just under a week from all the copy and imagery being received. There were only a few tweaks required before it went live. I really try hard to listen to clients in the initial briefing to ensure that the first draft, is usually close to the final draft. I wanted visitors to the site to quickly see how Dr Das could help them, and their children and sign post them to book should they wish to.
